Using recycled puzzle pieces from the 'Seagull Center', Room 14 created some beautiful pieces of art to display around our school.
Co-operating with others as well as managing ourselves and our time were keys to completing our art pieces. My Monster by Joshua Cochran
my monster is as grumpy as a grizzly bear. my monster has legs as thin as sausegers. my monster has eyes as green as slimes. my monsters smell is as good as a dogs. my monsters teeth are as sharp as a diggers blades. my monsters skin is as hard as a bulldozer. my monsters nose is as big as a baby elephant. my monsters mouth is as scary as a lions. my monsters heart looks like little ice cubes. My Monster by Luke Moxsom My monster's eyes are as red as blood. My monster's teeth are as sharp as a dagger. My monster's skin is like a dragons skin. My monster's smell is like Rotorua. My monster's legs are like chips , soft and stringy. My monster's heart is as strong as a woreya. My monster's nose is good at snifing things out. My monster's mouth is strong enough to eat houman. We have had fun learning about emotions and the way people react to different situations. We are learning that we can't change some situations, but we can change how we react to those situations.
We watched a clip about Billy, a new boy at school, who had to make friends and start all over again. It was a scary for time for him because some boys at his new school were unkind to him. He was unhappy until he put himself put there and made friends with Sam. A house awakes by Edison
Clothing swallowed me whole. Underpants yawned and streeched. My nutragrain told me to eat it. My lazy tooth brush whispered "don`t use me." The sheets on my bed jump up and land perfectly on my bed. My schoolbag shouted "take me to school." A House Awakes by Joella Johnson
the windows opened there eyes. my alarm clock screamed and yelled at me. my clothes and swallowed me. the kettle whistled. the toaster jumped out at me. the tooth brush sang. the flowers awake. my bag eats my lunch box. A house awakes by Makaela Veal As my alarm clock sings to me my sheets fly off me like a bird. My hair brush starts to dance in my hair then my cloths swallow me. I open the cranky door and hear my breakfast calling me. First, we laid out the puzzle pieces how we wanted to. Then, we panted the jib board. We did a few more cotes. Next, we lade out the puzzle pieces and started gluing. After that, we sanded the jib board where the pant is, not on the puzzle pieces. Finale, we did a few more coats of pant and sprayed on some vanish.

by sharna majurey "I had lots of fun making our puzzle art with my friends. the first thing we had to do was bring a piece of ply wood to paint next we had to chose a color for our board to paint it we had to do 5 coats . our group chose purple. the next thing we had to do was chose a picture to draw on our board next we had to glue the puzzle pieces on to it than we had to spray varnish on to the puzzle pieces I had lots of fun making these." by Rylee Deverill The students began their art works by collecting old jigsaw puzzles from the Seagull Center. They then had family members donate sheets of plywood to hot glue the jigsaw pieces to. The plywood was painted and then they began sorting out the jigsaw pieces into colours so they could create designs.
Working together, we planned what we thought we could recycle to make an attractive piece of art work. we also had to list what would be required and what we needed to bring to make this art work happen for our group.
